They've been dropped, contorted and ran over; they still work as well as ever. Reasonably thick, sturdy cable which not only avoids getting tangled up with itself unlike smaller cables, but also helps to prevent damage from twisting, cutting etc.

These are very versatile headphones as the sound reproduction is very good - as useful at home as they are in the studio. They have a good MF and HF range, good LF but can be a bit lacking sometimes - compared to the old 240DF's I had anyway. I use them at work sometimes for sound checks and they have always been pretty reliable.

This was one of the main reasons I bought the newer model of the same headphones! Not too small or tight so that your head is squished; instead a perfect, not too loose fit. The ear surrounds are a lovely soft leather, but can get a bit warm sometimes.

...People trip over these AKG headphones and they don't break. In fact, they can be bent and twisted at alarming angles without breaking. This is a good thing. In fact, the practical truth is that the best headphones in the world are useless if you break them so this is a very good thing indeed.

You can't trip on those if there's no wire!
If I had to find a downside with these headphones it would be that the plastic can get hot on your ears after a while. Hot ears seems a small price to pay when these sturdy headphones will last and last, and sound really professional. ...
