Essentially the same as the old K240 DF's that I replaced, these are another high quality example of AKG's offerings. Sound quality is as excellent as ever.
...Sound...
These are very versatile headphones as the sound reproduction is very good - as useful at home as they are in the studio. They have a good MF and HF range, good LF but can be a bit lacking sometimes - compared to the old 240DF's I had anyway. I use them at work sometimes for sound checks and they have always been pretty reliable.
...Durability...
They've been dropped, contorted and ran over; they still work as well as ever. Reasonably thick, sturdy cable which not only avoids getting tangled up with itself unlike smaller cables, but also helps to prevent damage from twisting, cutting etc.
...Comfort...
This was one of the main reasons I bought the newer model of the same headphones! Not too small or tight so that your head is squished; instead a perfect, not too loose fit. The ear surrounds are a lovely soft leather, but can get a bit warm sometimes.
...Overall...
If you have some spare cash lying then what are you doing? Buy them ;-)
