The receiver has its own software (GPSinfo) and after installation the receiver plugged in to the USB port, and soon found the available satallites displayed on the GPSinfo ... ...I was please to find the package easy to use, and was soon on the road testing the setup, which worked seamlessly. All the software and hardware are all very capable. The large 7 inch display of the EEE is more than adequate.
Only caution I might say , is check the route planned for you by PC Navigator as it will take to shortist route it can find.
