...amd have always been the bests for games but never 2 good for muti tasking but if your like me and you can have 2 processors you should have one amd and Intel so your pc will be good for gaming and muti tasking so if you really want a fast pc you should used amd and intel together so that you can do all the things you want or you could just get two of this amdprocessor so that your pc will be 4.8ghz with windows xp 64 bit it will work so much better and it is very good for the money and it takes no time to put in your pc i hope this has helped...

...As an Amd fan I often check the performance of the new Amd products. Based on a new 65 nm architecture I really expected that this processor is better than than the X2 3800 processor but I had mixed opinions and I'm a little disappointed.
The good things:
Dual core decent performance at low price
Small power consumption , approximate 60 w at full load and only 8w when Cool‘n’Quiet is enabled. Pretty good.
Good stability, The processor is stable and cold tanks to 65 nm fabrication technology
Integrated memory controller.
Good price
The nod so good things:
The new l2 cache memory is slower than the old 90 nm fabrication technology
Doesn't overclock as good as core 2 processors
Smaller performance than x2 3800 in some applications and also smaller performance than the Intel e4000 in many applications...

It support 64 Bit Operating systems and applications.
We can extract the maximum performance from this processor if we use a 64 Bit Operating System with it. It doesn't heat up as AMD's older processors.
I run Kubuntu Feisty Fawn 7.04 x64 having this processor and a 768 MB of DDR 400MHz RAM and its giving me much more than enough.
It can serve you as good as an Intel 2GHzprocessor.
If you are interested ina budget 64 bit processor and good performance then its for you...
