Advantages Advantages 64-bit future proofed, speedy, excellent value for money

Disadvantages Disadvantages Dual core AMD 64 CPUS are faster... but hey it would make this CPU cheaper so it's not all bad!

Go on admit it. You know you want a faster processor, but every time you check the prices you gasp in horror at what the current prices stand at. This CPU is no different, it is expensive to many consumers' minds and many cannot find a good enough reason to part with their hard earned money for this processor. Sure it's fast, but not is it worth the investment? Let's find out shall we? Before I tell you about this CPU, let me give you a basic brief history into the CPU wars which led to the creation of this CPU. It was thought that the higher clocking the CPU was, the faster it would be and ... more

Advantages Advantages Fast and quiet, lots and lots of computingpower

Disadvantages Disadvantages 512 kb of L2 cache

This processor is great in value and money. As fast as a dualcore Pentium 1.8 Ghz processor, it has less lagtime and better performance. Installing it to my motherboard was easy, same as any other processor, this processor has good construction and durable casing. In my system it runs on a Gigabyte M52L-S3 and with 2 gb of singelchannel RAM, it can run run Crysis, Bioshock and Prostreet at 1024x786 32bit color and medium setting in order 17 fps/24 fps/36 fps I will review my graphics card shortly. But due to the 512 kb L2 cache memory, it has lower gamingperformance than 3400+. But this ... more

Advantages Advantages Works with non 64 bit operating systems and software

Disadvantages Disadvantages Cant think of any!

I bought this about a year ago I think, and have had no problems with it, on my A8V Deluxe motherboard which the cpu fits into the socket 939 no problems, it works outstandingly well with windows vista x64, if you have enough memory that is, I have my self 2 giga bytes of memory. I would guess that with less memory it would work fine, but Im using the Windows Vista Ultimate 64 bit edition(which obviously requires more memory because of the extra features and software installed). so if you had the basic windows vista home software then the memory requirement wouldnt be as much as I have ... more

Advantages Advantages Powerful runs Windows Vista

    Disadvantages Disadvantages None

Ive had this CPU for over a year. I have the older 939 socket version but both cpu's are the same. This CPU has performed extremely well, it runs cool and in comjunction with cool and quiet technology this means your PC will run quiter. This is great for gaming, word-processing and anything else you can think of. I have used this processor with Windows Vista Ultimate edition and it runs it smooth and is fast. This CPU has also dropped in price a lot and is definately worth the money. This CPU will allow you to play new games and Im sure will play future games, combine this CPU with fast memory ... more

Advantages Advantages Fast, A-head of time!!!

Disadvantages Disadvantages A bit of the pricey side.

Processors can be problems, over heat, lag, smoke. It really good that AMD have gone beyond Intel, making a 64 bit processor....to bad the OS isn't up to spec!!! Hurry Windows before AMD release a 128 bit processor. This processor can run any windows OS, its flexable, quick and relable. You can leave this processor on for weeks without problems. The only problem would be that its only clocked at 2.2ghz. The box is a normal sized processor box, within the box you have the standard fan (which should be replaced within 2 weeks of installation, then you have all the instutions and the 3 year ... more
