AM2 Designed for Intel P4 LGA 775, Core 2 Duo EVO blue utilises enhanced heatpipe technology for rapid and even heat transfer. 6 precision embedded hi-capacity heatpipes and 52 high density aluminium fins for ultimate heat dissipation. The copper base facilitates more efficient heat absorption. Hi-air pressure is delivered by 92mm hi-performance quiet fan with crystal blue blades. 4-blue LED embedded in translucent fan duct to add colour to your CPU and case. EVO blue is a multi-platform device for both Intel and AMD sockets. A fan speed control unit is supplied giving RPM choice to the user. How do heatpipes work? The heatpipe is filled with vapourisable liquid. 1. Heat is absorbed in the evaporating section 2. Fluid boils to vapour phase 3. Heat is released from the top section via the fins; vapour condenses to liquid 4. Liquid is returned to the evaporating section 6 embedded copper heatpipes provide rapid and more even heat transfer 52 hi-grade aluminium fins ensure optimum cooling Copper base and aluminium heatsink maximise thermal performance 4 blue LED embedded in stylish translucent fan duct Hi-air pressure delivered by 92mm quiet fan with crystal blue blades Fan controller is supplied to adjust fan speed Multi platform application for both Intel & AMD sockets

Advantages: Highest performing single core processor without spending £700 on a FX Disadvantages: Its not too good at multi tasking
...The AMD64 4000+ is the quickest and highest performing processor without spending around £500 to £800 on the FX line of AMDprocessors. This is an excellent chip if you want a performance boost that you can see as soon as you install it however with the new generation of dual core chips I would highly recommend one of them as they are more future proof than this processor. This processor gives your computer a nice boost to its performance, I used to run an Intel machine however changed to AMD and the AMD is definately better for gaming. In conclusion this processor is an excellent piece of engineering however with the developments in technology I would encourage people to go for the dual core technology....

Advantages: Ultimate speed for great performance in the very latest generation of games Disadvantages: Average operating temperature.
...The nirivana of processors? Yes for even the most avid gamers, looking for a processor that will blast games into the nest dimension? Well this is a very good choice and If you wish to push even more out of this processor as always AMDprocessors yield great results in the overclocking department this is a must if you are the professional gamer. Supporting 64bit operating systems and software, with a great nifty clock speed and ample amounts of cache memory this processor is only let down by its price tag.
However if you have alot of money to spend and want to really gloat to your mates or need a super performance computer for the most demanding software? You cant go wrong with this processor....

Advantages: Speed, Value for Money Disadvantages: Stock Cooler
...Being an AMD fan boy may not help with the decision of the upgrade. But for the price of the processor you will not be disappointed. I had a 3000+ 64Bit AMD I found it to be a pretty quick with music and videos. However I noticed problems with speed when loading games and video editing.
Which is why I decided to upgrade to the AMD64Athlon X2 2600+. The 3600+ clocks at 2.0 GHz each, this allows the user to assign programmes with either processor so performance is not lost. This is the plus side of having two processors as you are able to assign processes to a certain processor.
AMD have also brought out two drivers which can fix problems with games which are not developed to support dual cores. One of the games called soldiers does not support two processors and is knows to BSOD (Blue Screen of death) and also crashes the system...
