AMD Athlon 64 X2 4000+ / 2 GHz processor

Advantages: Cheap, sufficient performance, low power consuption
Disadvantages: Core processors are faster and overclock better

...As an Amd fan I often check the performance of the new Amd products. Based on a new 65 nm architecture I really expected that this processor is better than than the X2 3800 processor but I had mixed opinions and I'm a little disappointed. The good things: Dual core decent performance at low price Small power consumption , approximate 60 w at full load and only 8w when Cool‘n’Quiet is enabled. Pretty good. Good stability, The processor is stable and cold tanks to 65 nm fabrication technology Integrated memory controller. Good price The nod so good things: The new l2 cache memory is slower than the old 90 nm fabrication technology Doesn't overclock as good as core 2 processors Smaller performance than x2 3800 in some applications and also smaller performance than the Intel e4000 in many applications... Advantages: Highest performing single core processor without spending £700 on a FX
Disadvantages: Its not too good at multi tasking

...The AMD 64 4000+ is the quickest and highest performing processor without spending around £500 to £800 on the FX line of AMD processors. This is an excellent chip if you want a performance boost that you can see as soon as you install it however with the new generation of dual core chips I would highly recommend one of them as they are more future proof than this processor. This processor gives your computer a nice boost to its performance, I used to run an Intel machine however changed to AMD and the AMD is definately better for gaming. In conclusion this processor is an excellent piece of engineering however with the developments in technology I would encourage people to go for the dual core technology.... Read review

...AMD Athlon 64 X2 6000+ / 3 GHz processor is very fast and reliable when compared to other processors which is more costly. AMD Athlon 64 X2 6000+ / 3 GHz processor is very reliable when we use graphic softwares like photoshop or when we play 3D games which are very resource gulping. AMD Athlon 64 X2 6000+ / 3 GHz processor will not lag or make you wait when we use large sized digital photos when downloading form digital cameras.I put this into the first computer i built. It can run vertually anything with ease. I am using windows vista x64 ultimate with it, and i have 4GB ram. recommended to anyone. AMD Athlon 64 X2 6000+ / 3 GHz processor heat systrm is excellent which will not produce heat easly.
