A brilliant processor, can run the latest games with ease. Brilliant value too! I play the likes of crysis and cod4 seamlessly with this processor. There are a few things you must be careful of though, first of all this processor gives out a fair amount of heat! AMD has been on the decline after Intel introduced its core 2 Duo line of processors. It has been late on 65 nm process and they are paying for that. They had the market under total control just one year ago, but now they have lost even their loyal customers. Having used this processor for two months for very intensive programs such as video studio 11 and newer games including medal of honour airborne, i can safely say it has stood up well to the challenge. I purchased this processor to build a whole new rig for video editing as our old dell was not up to the challenge. ...and i was still running vista and video studio 11 with ease. It runs fine and relatively quietly with the stock fan although you may need to upgrade cooling for overclocking i havent tried this. The two 3ghz cores are very good and can easily cope with converting a file to DVD, surfing and playing music. Overall a very good product for the price. all of amd's processor chips provide the same punch just with a differant price tag, so amd's easilly reccomended though the motherboards cost a little more, though the motherboards then have a greater spec, the price is still alot under. the only slight downfall if you require tremedous power is that, amd shows no sign in bringing out a quad core chip as intel has done though amd do have a tremendously high spec dual core chip.
