This processor would be for users who are after 'power' in thier computer. I own this product and it runs like a dream, it has never crashed and runs everything i chuck at it. It can play all the recent high demanding games such as crysis as long as you have a good graphics card to go with it.

This is an excellent processor, works great. You can raise his speed but you will need a thermoelectric cooler (it reaches around 50 degrees C). Anyway with enough RAMs you can use any application. ;) ...

This was a big step up for me from my AMDAthlon 3200, and I guess my problem was my expectations were too high. It was the first significant upgrade for me in about 3 years, so I wanted my pc to fly. The packaging was inspiring, nice sleek black box with the cpu chip visible on the side. I jumped into the box quickly and had the chip inserted into my mobo following the step by step instructions which were clear and simple. Remember, as with all stock cpus, this one doesn't come with extra thermal paste, so be careful not to smudge or scrape off the thermal paste that comes pre-applied on the heatsink/fan.
When I booted up the pc, the first thing I noticed was a fast bootup prompt. I noticed that Windows XP booted up about a few seconds faster than my old cpu, which I gladly accepted (although not blown away).
