AMD Athlon MP 2800+ / 2.13 GHz processor

...I have built loads of systems from socket 7 to amd to p111 slots, i run 3 pc's seperately ,2 have pentium prossers & one has a amd i have run the amd athlon for 12 months & it has been nothing but trouble,half the hardwear on the market it does not support amd when you build a amd system you have to be so carefull on which conponents you buy ie motherboards, memory i spent weeks going through this mine field & still going though it ,with hinesite i would never build any more.MY P111 450 has been running for 2 years i hammer it to death day in day out never crashed or had any errors what soever in fact i have up graded it to a P111 700 5 mins work & perfect the moral of this is (there is nothing good cheap & there is nothing cheap good)... ...amd have always been the bests for games but never 2 good for muti tasking but if your like me and you can have 2 processors you should have one amd and Intel so your pc will be good for gaming and muti tasking so if you really want a fast pc you should used amd and intel together so that you can do all the things you want or you could just get two of this amd processor so that your pc will be 4.8 ghz with windows xp 64 bit it will work so much better and it is very good for the money and it takes no time to put in your pc i hope this has helped... ...the AMD ATHLON XP 2400 is one of the best cpu from AMD for full compliance it's better to get a 266mhz memory velocity and mother board @266 fsb minimum as a 0,13 micron technology you can get your application faster than ever in comparaison the athlon xp2400 mhz encode and decode wma files(windows media) file than p4 2200 if using memory @ 333mhz welcome to overcloking your processor can be place at 2800 mhz as athlon xp3000+ without problem the power of A xp has a very hight temperature and need specialized CPU cooler there are some good models as zalman and igloo cooler firm although die temperature is 85 grad. celcius it can use up to 65.30 w as max power it means a 300w corpus will be welcome for it mother board on kt400 nforce 2 are optimum for this cpu we tried it on a server machine with mother board Gygabite on Raid...
