On for my 7th review!!

I bought this remarkable peice of kit approximately 3 months ago, and i have to say it certainly does NOT disappoint!

With masses and masses of power it will spit out anything with grace and style and is the equivelant to using a nuclear device to knock off a door! full on over kill but done with pure style and less mushrooming and carnage!

so the basic standard is 3Ghz x4 when it comes out of the box... ok, so for many times as much you can have Pentiums I7 with more oomph and quicker! but the AMD comes into its own when you decide to overclock the already beastly device! i have read in bench tests it has peaked at 5Ghz! but definitely not recommended! i think 3.5-4Ghz is a safe bet, for standard cooling and pre-set voltages..... but that is still a whopping 14Ghz of combined power! BEASTLY is an understatement!

i could go through all the technobabble, but its not my style, and its stuff you dont need to know and this is a review, not a spec list! all you want is the best you can get for the cheapest price, whilst still retaining reliability and performance.. and i assure you, it is unbeatable for price over performance ratio's! i have had it running a massive amount of processor hungry applications, and it sniffs at them with pure disgust at the feeble attempts your throwing at it to defeat it! you dont have to worry about a thing...

what can i say... i have built my pc from scratch from a reputable online pc retailer.. i paired the beast from hell with a large 1024Mb graphics card from amd too... and together they are perfectly matched.. as stated earlier, really fine speeds arent as quick as Pentiums I7 or speedier graphics cards, but unless your a well off graphics designer or a full on techno nut with more money and need of status, what is a few milli seconds to the average consumer!!!

i have yet to find a game, graphics/animation application (maya etc), or any application at all that wont run on this and all opened and running!!!! my old pc died at the mere sight of maya... and so do many other pc's!! i do have 8Gb of ram also!! i just went the full hog when i bought the pc... i got the most i could for the least i could! and for my needs it is perfect, and would suit a professional atmosphere also!!

I do wish i hadnt used the Asus mother board as overclocking is limited and non existent...... although it does have various power modes so you can reduce the power to only consume a certain percentage of the Ghz of the processor... thus reducing power consumption, but it still uses less power than my old very low powered machine! and it will only get power hungry if you start overclocking it enough to have the need to increase its voltage consumption......

but it will easily run 2x 50" full 1080 HD LCD screens with perfection and style, leaving one screen for movies, and the other for normal pc use, or another movie!!! personally, i would have the 2x LCD's and have 3-4 windows on each screen, it would cope with no problems at all! watch tv, read documents, work on graphical applications, view massive pictures, and everything else all at the same time with very little to no noticeable knock in performance....

From personal experience, for home use you need not look no further, this is the processor for you, for semi-professional use, look no further again, it will give you all you need and a lot more for peace of mind and future proofing...
if you have a spare few £1000's laying around and you are going to need stupid amounts of speed then go for the I7, but to be honest, for what i need it for, and thats games and graphics, office, tv and movies it is more than enough! and for a minute dent in your pocket in comparison to others of the same calibre...

i hope i have given you enough of an insight to decide for yourself what you want, and whether you really actually do need more speed than what this has anyway! you can easily find benchmark tests dotted around the internet.. and specs... but thats not what everyone wants to know... most just want to know it works, and whether its worth saving alot of money by buying this one... and in my personal, hand on heart opinion, this is the choice of processor to take! you wouldnt even be looking if you werent a little curios! and your curiosity has paid off!!! get this now! you wont be disappointed!!!!
