Do it with AMD! Review ofAMDSempron 2400+ / 1.66 GHzprocessorby

Advantages: Cheap, Reliable, AMD Disadvantages: Slowish compared to better CPUs
...becausw of the lower clock speed! this is why we get AMDSempron 2800+ with a clock speed of 1.66ghz, The 2800+ merely indicates that this would outperform (hence the (+) at the end of the figures) an equivalent processor running at 2.8ghz.
These rpcoessors are plug in and play, simply drop the processor into the socket, pull down the lever and clip on the heatsink and fan and there it is! Instructions do come with these processors if you buy the Retail Pack, the instructions have full colour step by step guides, you can;t go wrong!

Advantages: very good, low price processor, overclockable Disadvantages: none as yet
...when i bought a sempron3000+ i didnt imagine it would be as good as it really is, the motherboards that support the sempron's also support quicker dual cores so when the time comes to upgrading again i will be able to buy a dual core with no extra fuss.

NB the overclocking potential is about 1.5 times base. which is awesome and the ram speeds of the motherboards that support this processor are blistering. would recommend something like an ASUS A8V-VM to use with this product as its also a nice peice of engineering...
