Advantages: Good value for money, Can take a lot of stress, doesn't warm us as much as other processors Disadvantages: Not a very high Clock speed
...I have recently up graded from an old Pentium 4 (@1.4ghz) And I will never turn back, The Pentium 4 I was using is slow, old and gets very hot under stress.
Since I bought the Sempron, my computer core temperature has not reached over 50 degrees Celsius. This is good because it keeps it good and stable.
The Pentium 4 which I used to use would become unstable because it would over heat (by the way, I have only had to replace the mother board as well, all my cooling equipment has stayed the same).
The installation of the Sempron is about the same as every other processor in the world, it helps to know what you are doing, or get a professional to do it for you. If you know what you are doing then it should only take around 10 minuets to put in, depend on the ease of access to your motherboard. A computer shop (such as PC world), should...

Advantages: small, light, inexpensive, fingerprint sensor Disadvantages: 512mb RAM with 128 of that devoted to graphics card, no infrared
...with 32-bit colour. No antiglare filter but the screen is actually quite bright and apart from when used in direct sunlight I've not had a problem reading it.
It uses the AMD 64bit Turion processor which is unusual for HP/Compaq as they have only ever used Intel in the past. In fact I'm pretty certain this is the first time they've gone for AMD. Its probably one of the reasons why its cheap (£650) and the reason why you get rather good performance from it. I'll come to that later.
By the way if you look at the specs that I'm listing and compare them with the specs listed for this machine in the CIAO pages you'll find a number of major differences. e.g. CIAO show this as using the 3100+ Sempronprocessor which is different to my machine) I'm not sure if CIAO have got the wrong specs or whether there are a number of versions...
