AMD processor 0 of 5 Ciao Users found the following review helpful
Rating from rime123 4 Stars ()

Advantages very fast easy to install

Disadvantages none

The processor costs way less than Intel's Core 2 Duo E6600, yet it performed as good as E6600.

Because this processor uses 90nm tech. instead of new 65nm tech., it consums more power and generates more heat than Intel processors, but not too bad.

Because Athlon processors has memory controllers built in to the processor, it out performs Intel in memory latency.

OEM Cooling fan and heatsink is not very impressive. It was just like ones included with Thunderbird processors. Just cheap Al heatsink with 60mm fan over it. The fan was PWM controlable (4 pin connector) though.

I am not an overclocker, but I hear intel's Conroe processors overclock better than AMD's processors.

I suggest getting Intel if planing on overclocking, but if not, this processor is for you.

Hello and welcome to Ciao. Your review will need a lot more info for you to get higher ratings. Try having a look at other peoples reviews on the same subject to give you an idea of what sort of info people are looking for. If I'm honest I would avoid reviewing CPUs, I'm not sure there is much to say about them.
