...I have an AMD K7 600. I bought this because it runs much faster than intel processors and it is a lot cheaper. It is about time intel noticed that they cannot charge sky high prices for their "pentium chips".
Software says on the back that it requires a pentium to run, but this is not so. 98 percent of all software that is made for a pentium will run on an AMD, the other two percent isnt worth buying anyway!
Amd run a lot faster and smoother and i would advise anybody that is buying a new pc to go AMD... and whats more AMD go up to 1Ghz unlinke intel!...

...reason for AMD. The Celeron of Intel for example is about just as expensive, brings however less achievement.
Result: The AMD Duron is a very inexpensive processor, which is meant for people, which want to spend fewer moneys on a computer. Bench mark The AMD Duron processor I with the bench mark and diagnosis program
SiSoft Sandra tested. With this program one can compare among other things its processor with differently different CPUs. I came to the result that the AMD Duron is so bad not at all. It is just as well as a Athlon with clock frequency. It gives itself the Pentium 4 with 1,6Ghz. also only completely more struck. In points expressed that 1612 for the Duron and the 1900 the Pentium 4 would be scarce. On the Internet side of AMD one finds still more exact bench mark test. Among other things there a AMD Duron with a Intel Celeron...
