AMD Phenom X4 9750 / 2.4 GHz processor

Advantages: Fast, Quality and Easy install
Disadvantages: Price, Compatibility

...Overall i would definatley recommend the Phenom to anybody looking to upgrade there processor however i would advise that if you are looking into the upgrade you check the compatiblity of your motherboard and your graphics card as older motherboards wont have an updated bios or even not have a bios upgrade. I would suggest upgrades to both the processor and the motherboard at the same time and get a board with an 790FX chipset to be sure they're compatible. As for the price it may seam expensive but good searching could lead to you finding one for just over £100, and with AMD on your side you'll beat Intel hands down. Advantages: very good for games
Disadvantages: not very good for muti tasking

...amd have always been the bests for games but never 2 good for muti tasking but if your like me and you can have 2 processors you should have one amd and Intel so your pc will be good for gaming and muti tasking so if you really want a fast pc you should used amd and intel together so that you can do all the things you want or you could just get two of this amd processor so that your pc will be 4.8 ghz with windows xp 64 bit it will work so much better and it is very good for the money and it takes no time to put in your pc i hope this has helped... Advantages: Highest performing single core processor without spending £700 on a FX
Disadvantages: Its not too good at multi tasking

...The AMD 64 4000+ is the quickest and highest performing processor without spending around £500 to £800 on the FX line of AMD processors. This is an excellent chip if you want a performance boost that you can see as soon as you install it however with the new generation of dual core chips I would highly recommend one of them as they are more future proof than this processor. This processor gives your computer a nice boost to its performance, I used to run an Intel machine however changed to AMD and the AMD is definately better for gaming. In conclusion this processor is an excellent piece of engineering however with the developments in technology I would encourage people to go for the dual core technology.... Read review
