Manufacturer's product description
AMD Opteron processor gives companies a whole new way of doing business. The processor is based on AMD64 technology - an innovative technology that allows IT professionals to run 32- and 64-bit applications simultaneously. This means that organizations can grow into 64-bit computing without sacrificing their existing IT investments. With its Direct Connect Architecture, the AMD Opteron processor helps eliminate the real challenges and bottlenecks of system architectures because everything is directly connected to the CPU. Direct Connect Architecture delivers the best 2P and 4P architecture for x86 computing, resulting in the best performance-per-watt in the market. It's the ideal performance boost for the working environments of today and tomorrow. Dual-core AMD Opteron processor extends AMD's Direct Connect Architecture by connecting two CPUs on one die, improving overall system performance and efficiency.
...The AMD Duron is a very good alternative to the more expensive Pentium 4 and Athlon processors. Line-moderately the Duron core is based on that of the Athlon and brings therefore also Anna-honouring just as good achievement (closer information see bench mark). For fast plays with complex diagram I would recommend this processor. I have mean AMD tested computers with some running plays, which ran all very good and made no problems.
Generally I am with my Duron 1.2Ghz. Very contently. He falls hardly off and mostly only if any program not reliably runs and an error has. The AMD Duron 1.2Ghz. runs with a Frontside bus from 2x100 MHz. This processor is meant for all Main boards, which possess a A-base. The Motherboard operates the processor with a tension of approximately 3.3 V. The price for this processor is to be decided a second good...

Advantages: Highest performing single core processor without spending £700 on a FX Disadvantages: Its not too good at multi tasking
...The AMD 64 4000+ is the quickest and highest performing processor without spending around £500 to £800 on the FX line of AMDprocessors. This is an excellent chip if you want a performance boost that you can see as soon as you install it however with the new generation of dual core chips I would highly recommend one of them as they are more future proof than this processor. This processor gives your computer a nice boost to its performance, I used to run an Intel machine however changed to AMD and the AMD is definately better for gaming. In conclusion this processor is an excellent piece of engineering however with the developments in technology I would encourage people to go for the dual core technology....

Advantages: A worthy cheaper rival to Pentium 4 Disadvantages: The AMD heatsink and fan is not good enough, and hard to attach to the motherboard
..., the AMD XP 3200+ is a 400mhz processor so your processor frequency should be set at 200, this is automatically done with some motherboards or you will have to change the jumper setting manually.
Though the core clock speed is set at 2.2Ghz on the AMD XP3200+, with the advanced instruction set contained on the Barton core, this means the AMD XP 3200+ processor is comparable in speed and performance to a Pentium 4 running at 3.2Ghz, hence the XP3200+.
The AMD XP3200+ now includes 3DNow! Professional Technology which further enhances your 3D gaming experience, offering faster access to the processor while playing labour intensive 3D games. Already packed with 3DNow! Advanced Technology (contained on previous processor versions) this added feature will give yet another added bonus when playing games.
The AMD XP3200+ comes with a generic heatsink...
