Do it with AMD!
Review of AMD Sempron 2400+ / 1.66 GHz processor by  rally1998

Advantages: Cheap, Reliable, AMD
Disadvantages: Slowish compared to better CPUs

...temperature becausw of the lower clock speed! this is why we get AMD Sempron 2800+ with a clock speed of 1.66ghz, The 2800+ merely indicates that this would outperform (hence the (+) at the end of the figures) an equivalent processor running at 2.8ghz. These rpcoessors are plug in and play, simply drop the processor into the socket, pull down the lever and clip on the heatsink and fan and there it is! Instructions do come with these processors if you buy the Retail Pack, the instructions have full colour step by step guides, you can;t go wrong! Intel are mass marketed and mainstream, TV adverts the lot, AMD....no, AMD processors are bought, used by people who are in the know how and don't need to rely on mass marketing schemes. This processor in particular is very nice. at 1.66ghz and 2800+ it allows applications to open and run rather... Read review

AMD Sempron 3000+(AM2)(1.6GHz)
Review of AMD Sempron 3000+ / 1.6 GHz processor by  DrDivvi

Advantages: Incredibly cheap, reliable CPU
Disadvantages: FSB+Cache could be better

...easier when the AMD X2 prices come down in the future, if you are planning to upgrade. Although the FSB and cache aren't amazing, it wouldn't really be a cheap processor if they were, so I can't really complain about that. If you're looking for a cheap, reliable CPU. Wether you're on a budget, or want something until the X2 prices come down, a Sempron is a recommended buy.... Read review

Review of AMD Athlon 64 X2 6000+ / 3 GHz processor by  balachandran

Advantages: excellant speed for gaming
Disadvantages: not compatible to all mother boards

...AMD Athlon 64 X2 6000+ / 3 GHz processor is very fast and reliable when compared to other processors which is more costly. AMD Athlon 64 X2 6000+ / 3 GHz processor is very reliable when we use graphic softwares like photoshop or when we play 3D games which are very resource gulping. AMD Athlon 64 X2 6000+ / 3 GHz processor will not lag or make you wait when we use large sized digital photos when downloading form digital cameras.I put this into the first computer i built. It can run vertually anything with ease. I am using windows vista x64 ultimate with it, and i have 4GB ram. recommended to anyone. AMD Athlon 64 X2 6000+ / 3 GHz processor heat systrm is excellent which will not produce heat easly. The computer with AMD Athlon 64 X2 6000+ / 3 GHz processor is my first computer and I am sing this computer for all my... Read review
