    The Sempron 3000+, now a lower end, low cost CPU. Is it still worth buying? In short, yes. I have just this week purchased a new PC, decided on the socket AM2 sempron3000+. So far, so very, very good. This is a chip that impresses, at around £35, you'd expect a budget, just about usable chip. This is far from reality, running XP professional edition is no longer a hair-loss inducing experience, and even better, I no longer get horrible skips and jumps and pauses through music and video.
