Advantages: Incredibly cheap, reliable CPU Disadvantages: FSB+Cache could be better
...easier when the AMD X2 prices come down in the future, if you are planning to upgrade.
Although the FSB and cache aren't amazing, it wouldn't really be a cheap processor if they were, so I can't really complain about that.
If you're looking for a cheap, reliable CPU. Wether you're on a budget, or want something until the X2 prices come down, a Sempron is a recommended buy....

Advantages: Cheap, Reliable, AMD Disadvantages: Slowish compared to better CPUs
...temperature becausw of the lower clock speed! this is why we get AMDSempron 2800+ with a clock speed of 1.66ghz, The 2800+ merely indicates that this would outperform (hence the (+) at the end of the figures) an equivalent processor running at 2.8ghz.
These rpcoessors are plug in and play, simply drop the processor into the socket, pull down the lever and clip on the heatsink and fan and there it is! Instructions do come with these processors if you buy the Retail Pack, the instructions have full colour step by step guides, you can;t go wrong!
Intel are mass marketed and mainstream, TV adverts the lot, AMD....no, AMDprocessors are bought, used by people who are in the know how and don't need to rely on mass marketing schemes.
This processor in particular is very nice. at 1.66ghz and 2800+ it allows applications to open and run rather...

Advantages: Good value for money, Can take a lot of stress, doesn't warm us as much as other processors Disadvantages: Not a very high Clock speed
...be able to fit it for you and tidy up your system for a minimal fee.
In my opinion the Sempron isn't the processor you want if you want a processor you can over-clock, the Sempron becomes very unstable when you attempt to (ether that or the program I use is bad)
The Sempron isn't too bad for playing games, using high performance graphical design programs, video editing, much much more.
Over all the Sempron is quick on its heals, Stays good and cool, and from all the AMD's and Pentiums I have used in the past (K6, K6-2, Atholon, P1, P2, P3, P4, P4HT, Celeron), this is the best processor I have come across.
With its value for money, good performance, and good clock speed, I recommend this processor for them that need a processor that does a bit off everything....
