WOW this is fast, fast, fast you would'nt beieve i am in love with this chip, i have just built a thunderbird 1.2 Ghz DDR (DDR Stands for Double Data Rate) system with 256 MB pc 2100 DDR ram and wow it benchmarks better 11 time's out of 12 benchmarks than the 1.5 Ghz P4, i would say it is the fastest CPu i have seen so far for a fraction of the price of th P4 i suggest if you are looking for unbeatable performance and stability go for this chip, the only problem is it is hard to get hold of at the moment but that will change soon, the wedding between me and this chip is this saturday and your all invited. thanks to all the people who have instructed me on what i should do to make my opinion count so here are some benchmarks from my old system to the new system, basically all you need to know is that my old system was a thunderbird 1000mhz cpu, a-bit KT7 motherboard and 256 pc133 Ram and the new system spec is as listed above, i have benchmarked them both and found a 47 percent performance increase from my old system and i have benchmarked it against my uncle's 1.5 Ghz P4 with 256 MB rdram, i did 12 benchmarks which include 3dmark2000, sisoftsandra 2001 pro, winbench, unreal tournament, quake 3, and a few less well known one's and the only thing that the P4 was better on was quake 3 but this may have been because of the graphics engine it uses (Open GL), i appologise i don't have any of the actuall benchmarks to hand.
Hi and welcome to Ciao. I think it's reasonable to say that you like this chip! A little more detail might have helped you ratings; for example what is the approx cost difference, what benchmarks were you running etc. I also have a 1.2GHz Athlon and it certainly beats the pants off my old machine (but that was a 166MHZ Pentium!). Good luck, Paul.

Hi & welcome to Ciao! If you try to include more info in your opinions you should get better ratings. Have a read around the site to get an idea of the sort of detail people want to read about and that should help you with future opinions you write. Good luck :O)

There is so much more you could have said about this chip. If you do change your op, I'll re-rate.
