Advantages: Good build quality Disadvantages: Extremely slow
...I wish I could recognise the D500 machine the other reviewers of this laptop are describing. The key problem with this product is that at times it becomes so slow as to be almost unusable, even when running bread and butter Office 2000 software. No amount of disk defragmentation can resolve the slow speed issue. When opening up the laptop or after reboot, the hard drive whirls and whirls for up to half an hour, during which the extreme lag when trying to access and operate your software is such that you just can't use it.
I bought this laptop (over 36 months - way over £1,000) simply to run Word 2000, Excel 2000 and Outlook Express - it can't handle it, even though there is very little else installed on the hard drive. After a while Windows XP recognises the system is struggling and pops ups a 'Low Virtual Memory' warning...

...I have recently purchased the Ami Hand Track notebook mouse and let me tell you WOW! this little gem is excellent small lightweight and a dream to use, at first sight it seems to look like something out of a sci fi film and it's so small, but as soon as you pick it up and use it for a couple of minutes you'll wonder how you managed without it, one drawback if you can call it that if you need to type there is no where to put it in to i.e. no holder and it has to just lay on the computer desk looking helpless, but if the quesion is would I recommend it then the answer is definately YES YES YES....

Advantages: Great Responsiveness, Comfortable, Superbly Accurate Disadvantages: Some Useless Buttons, Scrapes on Plastic Mousepads, Bad Drivers
...smooth and accurate. But Microsoft mice are notorious for developing worn pads over time and this makes movements even more ridiculous after possessing a mouse for a long period of time.
After another 1 year period of possession of a mouse I decided that I needed a new mouse because the Microsoft Intellieye 3.0 just couldn't keep up. After reading plenty of reviews and opinions from others I decided to buy the Logitech Mx 500. Over the dominant years of Microsoft in the optical mice market, logitech had become to gain a bigger share in the market as they released their MX range of mice known for their superb accuracy and performance.
My first impressions of the mouse were encountered when I was trying to get the thing out of the damn box. The box is designed like the usual packaging on items with the picture of the item and a company...

I love this album!
I got this album bought for me as a birthday present and ungratefully discarded it at the bottom of a drawer for some strange reason. I then heard one of her songs "this is the life" play on radio one and immedietely loved it! i... more
