Advantages Good Accuracy, Small and Light, Big Storage, Battery is very good.
Disadvantages Strap to hook onto jeans etc is poor quality, takes time to hook onto satellites.
The AMOD photo tracker is a small photo tracker roughly about the size of a box of matches (90 mm x 45 mm x 23 mm).
The Tracker can record waypoints every 10 seconds and can record a maximum of 1,040,000 waypoints which equates to approximately 2,800 logging hours. The Battery life of the tracker is around 20 hours using 3 AAA batteries. It has a handy little function to record specific waypoints on the touch of a button. On the front of the tracker is 3 little led status lights one for Battery power (on/off), one to tell you when the device is fixed onto a GPS satellite and the other is to tell you when the devices memory is full.
The unit is a plug and play device which is plugged into either Pc or Mac using the supplied data cable, it displays the tracking information in EXIF 2.0.

I have been using this product for little over 5 months now and i find it to be of extreme importance in the way i keep my Photographs organised on my computer, i can click a place name on the maps built into a program on my computer and it shows me all the photos that were taken in that area. I also use it if i'm going for a walk somewhere i haven't been before, so i can use that data in the future to plot walks etc.
The accuracy of the device is good considered the price of the GPS unit is only around £60, compared to other GPS trackers that are over £100. Tested in open space the tracker is pretty accurate to within a metre or so. Tested in a busy high-rise city the accuracy weakens a little to within 2+ metres, but still considered accurate. The quality of the device seems to be very good, very good quality materials used, i have not had any problems with the craftsman ship of this item. It seems a strong sturdy device. It comes with a clip so you can keep it attached to your belt or other items, this seams to be of a weaker plastic and is not as strong or well made as the unit itself.
The Amod tracker would be better if it had a built in screen so that information about satellites etc would be displayed clearer, this would also be useful to change some of the options that the tracker has, mainly the 6 different tracking modes. Maybe the device would be better if it included a rechargeable battery pack instead of using batteries, one advantage of using batteries on the other hand is that they can be changed anywhere instead of being at a certain place to recharge the device.Overall i think the AMOD Photo tracker is of very good value for the money compared to some of the pricier models available on the market. The only difference between this unit and the pricier models is that they have more precise accuracy (Slight), and that some of the other units have screens to change options.
I am very happy with my Photo Tracker and Highly recommend this to anyone looking for a affordable everyday unit. Also Reviewed on Dooyoo.
