Blink AMO Refreshing Eye Drops

There is nothing worse than having dry and sore eyes and I must admit to be really prone to this especially nearing the end of a long day looking at the computer. This doesn't happen so much on the days that I opt not to wear my contact lenses and have my glasses on so its those little discs of rubbery material covering my eyes that are to blame for the dry irritation.

To make sure that my eyes stay moist and comfortable I have a vast array of different eye lubricants to use at home, at work and when out and about. It seems I have a different bottle of eye drops in most of my handbags (I have a lot of those) and bottles in draws and generally kicking about everywhere. They all have a use by date on them but to be fair when I have used the ones that have been open over the recommended time frame and even run over the use by date I have never had any adverse affects.

This bottle of Blink Soothing Eye Drops can be found in a lot of different stores such as Supermarkets and Chemists and as per usual I bought my little bottle from Boots for around the £4 mark. Its not cheap but for branded eye drops this is about the right price. You only get a small 10 ml of the product in the bottle but again this is standard with most bottles of eye drops, branded or not.

These Blink eye drops are designed for use with contact lenses and doesn't' matter is you have soft daily, fortnightly or monthly lenses and can even be used with gas permeable lenses as well and you don't have to have your contacts out when using the drops either. They are specially made for dry and irritated eye to sooth and aid the smoothness of blinking (which isn't always easy when you have dry eyes). The packaging of the little bottle is a small cardboard box and this gives all the necessary product information that you would expect such as ingredients and the like. This box however has since long gone and as soon as I open the bottle this aspect gets thrown away as there is all the important information still printed on the mall plastic bottle.

The bottle itself is sealed tight on first opening so that you know it hasn't already been tampered with before you using it which is nice to know and be safe especially as the bottle is going near a very delicate area. The pointed nozzle of the bottle is pretty standard and when held upside down the bottle slowly releases a drop at a time nice and slowly just as you need it to.

I find these drops are actually one of the better drops I use and although I have always been under the impression that eye drops are just eye drops no matter what there brand is, it seems these ones actually do work better than the noon branded ones and possibly even my bottle of Optrex. These drops seem to work very quickly as the other brand do but also these have a slight better lasting effect than the others. Yes they do the same job at making the eyes feel cooler, more moist and a lot more comfortable to keep open but the best thing is that it seems I need to reapply these drops far less than the others I have and even when using them whilst still working at the computer I find they keep the moisture on my eye well and last optically very well.

On the whole I find these eye drops from Blink really very good. They work well at soothing and easing the discomfort of dry and sore eyes but also seem to work for a long period after they have been used and this seems to be far better than other drops. Therefore with all this in mind I can only give a top score of 5 out of 5 stars for these drops and an exceptionally high recommendation. I will probably opt for these next time I am needing to replenish my stocks of drops.

I do hope that this has been of some help/interest to you.

Many thanks for taking the time to read.
