AM Denmark CD disc cleaner

Advantages: small and compact, cheap
Disadvantages: manual operated, replacement parts maybe hard to get.

...While the worlds number one CD repair tool was a flop and a generic brand repair tool was a success, I thought I’d try a CD cleaner as a CD repairer. I will be reviewing the cleaner and also adding some extra uses I got out of it. ~ The kit ~ The JML CD cleaner is exactly what it says, it is a CD cleaner only and does a very good job too. In the kit you get the cleaner tool, looks like walkman and you put CD label down as the cleaning pads are on the lid and you get cleaning fluid. ~ How it works ~ Very basic, spray CD, place inside with label down, close lid and turn handle for a few seconds to clean disc. It works pretty well but it seems no different to running your CD under water and wiping with dry cloth. I suppose it will work well for CD's with paper labels that water may smudge or destroy. ~ Cost... Read review

These discs are also durable and have been made using the latest TDK CD-R technologies, including ISOPURE recording dye technology. Im sure you computer buffs will have some idea of what this means! A re-tuned metal-stabilized cyanine (MSC) recording material is used in production to increase sensitivity. The coating of the CD is also printable by the use of Thermal Transfers. As for the discs themselves, cosmetically, as I have a two year old, I often find my discs in a toy box which is rather annoying but these discs have a reflective layer technology and a double-layer protective system featuring a protective coating. ...including Adaptec Easy CD Creator 1 Installation Manual Installation: Easy! I am really impressed at the time and effort put in by Hewlett Packard. The package is so well put together that just about anyone could install this. First of all you put in the bundled CD which analyses your computer and tells you which position to set the jumpers on the back of the drive (mine didn’t need changing), which IDE cable to use and which socket to plug it into on the IDE cable. The installation software gives you the option to print this information out for reference when you actually plug the hardware in. Included on the CD are some videos that show you exactly how to plug the drive in.
