Advantages: Excellent Value, Easy to set up, Looks Smart
Disadvantages: All the blurb is on the CD

...but that might be a perfect option for this screen. They do warn you about pixel criteria, which I have quoted below. The picture is sharp, the colour clear and the space on my desk larger. I really can’t find any fault with this monitor but it’s only two weeks old. LCD PIXEL CRITERIA: With LCD Monitors there is a Pixel Criteria this varies with each company. AOC: state “In order to provide the highest performing products, AOC has set the following limit as to the maximum allowable number of pixel anomalies. 5 Bright Sub-Pixels, 5 Dark Sub-pixels, or a combination of 8 Dark & Bright Sub-pixels. The panel used on our LM720 series monitors has a total of 2,359,296 sub-pixels. So even the maximum allowed of 8 non-performing sub-pixels would only amount to a very small 0.00033% of the total sub-pixels. This actually means you may see... Read review

Advantages: Cheap and amazingly clear!
Disadvantages: Doesn't exist anymore, Bigger compared to newer monitors

...When I got my LM-500 in 2003 I really didn't expect to still be using it. It was made in 1999, therefore I expected it to be old and of poor quality compared to what is avaliable now. I bought it just as a temporary monitor that was just for using until I could afford a new one but I am so glad I still have it! Its a really high quality monitor, it may be old and slightly chunky compared to newer monitors but I have never had any problems with it. The monitor is great for gaming and watching DVD's, much better than any CRT screen. After 2 years of bad treatment it still works and amazingly it still has no dead pixels! If anyone is looking for a cheap flat screen monitor, I highly reccomend the AOC LM-500! :)... Read review

Advantages: Stylish space saver
Disadvantages: For those who like black and grey

...I decided to treat myself to a new desktop computer. Living in a small flat and needing my desk space, I definitely wanted a flat screen. I chose a stylish black and grey design and this AOC 15" TFT monitor was part of the deal. It looks great and displays krisp colours with an optimal resolution of 1024 x 768 pixels. It displays 16.7 million colours and has included speakers. Installation is easy and external speakers or headphones can be plugged in at the back of the screen. It only weighs 3.5 kg (7.6 lb) and when moving flats I just had to wrap it in a blanket and grab it under my arm. What a difference compared to moving my old computer! This monitor is ideal for a small office. It look modern and stylish. It's great quality at a reasonable price.... Read review
