Anyone who advocates use use of AOL obviously hasn't been using the internet for very long or are completely computer illiterate. I am not saying that is a bad thing. AOL is useful for showing people the ropes but at the end of the day, once you have got used to using the net AOL internet solutions truly suck. The software provided actually prevents you tapping the real power from the net. Basically, as far as credability is concerned, I am an Internet Systems Engineer (geek) and AOL users are a joke in our field - which has got to be bad. Being someone@aol.com might as well be an alias to someone@clueless.com. Isn't it time to take the training wheels off the internet and move to a cheaper, non-bespoke internet solution? I think so.

Advantages: The service is too easy to get asnd too hard to get rid of. Disadvantages: Total and deliberate refusal to cancel contracts or rely to complaints.
