Advantages: 8 USB ports in total; Good overclockability; Fast; MicroATX
Disadvantages: DDR RAM slots could support larger memory sizes; Could have support for RAID
I bought this from a computer fair, so I could build a cheap PC. I bought this motherboard, as it had a fast intel i865G chipset, and an AGP 8X slot. Some Asus boards on show didn't make use of AGP. I bundled this with 1 GB of RAM, a Pentium 4 2.8GHz CPU and a Radeon X1650 Pro. The Windows XP Home install literally took 15 minutes and the board had a good layout for each component. Frame rates in games are sky high, and this board easily overclocked the CPU to 3.06GHz without any change to the temperatures. The WatchDogABS overclock guard is useful too. ...
