...People reading this review might think I've gone mad! He's reviewing a printer cable.. I can hear you saying it now. Well as a matter of fact I have a lot to say about this small cable.
A few years ago when I purchased my Lexmark I had a cable like the one above. Unlike the newer USB cables one's like the APC are bigger and a little harder to plugin then USB cables.
My rabit decided to chew through the cable, luckly he was ok, but I had to purchase a new printer cable, enter on the scene APC.
I looked around for a new cable and found the APC printer cable for around fifteen pounds, a little overpriced but I looked on the back of the packet for more information.
The APCcable provides extra protection against data lost, power faults and any other problems you might have. It also works well with home nextworking.

...have a few… Here are my thoughts…
When it comes you will find all you need to get started. They include Information, Software (On CD), Cables, and even Velcro cable ties! Installation of the software offers great features like, UPS monitoring, Configuration, and Automatic System Shutdown on Power Failure. It takes only two minutes to setup.
There is a connector for power input, four for power output, 2 Ethernet ports (in/out), and also the Signal Cable output. Of the four power outputs, three are surge & battery protection, one is surge protection only. The Ethernet connections provide inline surge protection for your data link, although I have not used this feature.
You will need to connect the battery inside, do this before connecting to the mains. Also it’s advisable to plug in the UPS...

Advantages: small, reliable to use Disadvantages: Cost is a bit too much
.... The USB wire is not big in length but you can carry it around with you as it is very light and can just fit into your pocket. I like this product because I normally carry around my digital camera with me and if the camera is full, I wont have to delete it as I would just have to stop near a computer and use the APC USB cable to download the pictures to the computer by using the USB cable and I would then be able to send it by email and this just tells you that the USB cable can be useful.
