Advantages: Will save your PC & Equitment during power problems
Disadvantages: Not easy to connect

...Good device , we get alot of fluctuations in power which might not be noticeable on TVs and Video/DVD other than a hiss. On your PC the Desktop and equitment can freeze or crash. The UPS has Three Battery terminals and 1 surge terminal. Remmember You will need to change Power cables to Kettle leads both ways ( 3 point kettle male to female ), Two leads are suppliedwith APC UPS. I connected Desktop , Monitor & WDSL Decorder. Connect USB cable , other end to UPS rear , abit like a telephone plug.( cable supplied with APC UPS). Connect modem cable if you use one Load the PowerChute Person Edition software for XP. The software should power down PC & Monitor when power problems occur. Check power level indicator , this should tell you if you have overloaded the UPS. Power level is Half way, Cool. .... Advantages: Awesome Battery Backup
Disadvantages: Heavy!!!

...Bought one to keep my server and comm's kit up. Boy o boy does it do the job, for no less than 2 hours. Running 2 Servers, 2 PC's and comm's cab!! In daily use this UPS could run a business with no problems, with all the flexibility that most network managers are after. When it arrived, it was wrapped like a small house, and weighed as much as a car. It was immediately put into action and has only been turned off once, to fit an APC Network Management card. It comes with all the needed cables and an adapter to cut a plug off a lead and make it UPS Compatible. The software comes in the box, but you can download the latest one off APC's Website as there was an issue with the version 6 software and a security thing running out. Definetly a worthwhile purchase, and would recommend anyone else to buy it as well!!!... Read review
