The need for data management is growing rapidly. Today, over half of the employees in small businesses, as well as large corporations are working with some kind of computer. Although you'll run into a lot of used-this-first-like-it-best recommendations, there is really no comparison to Photoshop's HUGE feature set. Industry standard application includes almost everything you need to do professional graphics, photo editing, etc.
Honestly, Photoshop 7 is a professional package however; if all you are after is just nice editing or painting, you should look around carefully at smaller, more specialized software like Jasc Paintshop Pro or Serif's Photo Paint.
Compared to competitors, Photoshop 7 is a bit expensive, but that is what you pay for an industry standard. And one more point I need mention is natural media is not its primary function....

...Lotus 1-2-3 (millennium edition) is a simple spreadsheet package offering a host of functionality. This latest version has a useful 'help' section and many 'fast' keys to get you through the calculations as quickly as possible. A very useful feature is the 'smartmaster' sets of pre-loaded templates such as:
expense reports; creating invoices; budget planning, etc.
Importing and exporting data couldn't be simplier between the Lotus Smartsuite range of products. On the down side, this package is not as common as the MS Office equivalent (Excel) and therefore can sometimes face compatibility problems with external MS data....

Advantages: Encrypts email well Disadvantages: The recipient needs to have a public digital key
...Pretty good privicy is a very reliable peice of software that will encrypt text that can then be placed into an email, or if you're luck can be encrypted automaticaly. It's great for that, but it doesn't do anything else. It's not available for download in the UK, however, if you would like to get PGP drop the webmaster of www.davis1.co.uk an email. For the encryption to work the recipient also needs to be using PGP or possibly another similar program. PGP uses public and private digital keys, and is pretty good for encrypting emails....
