The Asda Cocktail sticks are designed to be used at parties. They are small wooden sticks measuring around 6cm in length and feature pointed ends. The sticks are packaged tightly within a rectangular, plastic box with slide on lid.

These cocktail sticks can be found near the paper plates and plastic cups within Asda stores. The pack contains 100 sticks and is priced at only 25p.
My Thoughts

There isn't really much to say about cocktail sticks is there? I will keep this short and sweet! The packaging is fine and the plastic is sturdy. I keep my cocktail sticks in my baking cupboard. I actually bought these cocktail sticks for my sons birthday party back in May. I used them on the day and then again for our Halloween party in October.

These sticks are super cheap and I cannot imagine why anyone would feel the need to spend anymore on a throwaway item. They are perfect for buffets and parties. The sticks are of a decent quality and size. They are made of light wood which is very smooth with no chance of splinters forming. The ends are super sharp so you do need to be careful when using these. I have often jagged myself with them so I wouldn't allow my son to handle them.

The sharp ends do have a purpose though. I have used the cocktail sticks to hold small bits of food at 2 buffets so far and they do that job perfectly. The sharp end is sharp enough to piece through pickled onions, cheese cubes, cocktail sausages and even small pieces of fruity. It works best with firmer foods and holds everything in place like a scewer. If making up little nibbles for a buffet, each stick can hold a few bits and pieces and you can mix and match and there will still be a bit of wood left over to allow for comfortable holding of the stick. I like the usual pineapple chunk, cheese and pickled onion - yummy!

They can be easily disposed off. I can highly recommend these cocktail sticks as they represent excellent value for money and are very affordable. I find it best to buy a big pack of different bits and quickly make up little nibbles. So easy to make and much nicer presented than having the food in bowls. I cannot fault these sticks at all.

Thanks for reading x
