Whilst shopping in ASDA today, I saw individual sized portions of French apple tart or Tarte aux Pommes for only 94p. Unable to resist a bargain, I thought I'd give it a try.
As the name suggests, this isn't just any old apple tart - oh no, this is ASDA's own 'Extra Special' Tarte aux Pommes. This is a French apple tart made from a sweet pastry base and topped with soft apple purée, a layer of apple slices and finished off with an apricot flavour ... ...for only £2.98, which is also excellent value.
Overall then, ASDA Extra Special Tarte aux Pommes slices are very tasty and well worth trying. You can find them in the chiller section of ASDA, near the butter and yogurts.
Highly recommended.
