Advantages Strong, absorbent, cute design
Disadvantages None
Asda sell lots of different kitchen towels, this particular one I am reviewing today comes in two different forms for the same price. The only difference is one is plain white and the other is white with cute fruit characters on them. I have the latter of the two with the cute fruity characters!
This kitchen towel comes in a pack of 2, the packing is quite basic, it’s mainly transparent with the product information being place on the block of orange detailing. A pack of this (and the plain white) kitchen towels will cost you £1.28 from Asda but can often be found on offer for just £1.
Once you open the roll of kitchen towel you will find the cute fruit and vegetable characters border the top and the bottom throughout the whole roll. I like these little characters as they bring some fun to, normally, boring white kitchen towels. The funny faces on the characters also attract children to the design and they soon warm to the funky fruit and veg!
The kitchen towels hold approximately 60 sheets, these are all separated by a perforated strip. I’ve found it easy to tear each sheet from the roll without it ripping into the next sheet. Each sheet is about 22cm x 22cm in size, I this size is the norm for most kitchen towels.
The packaging states that these kitchen towels are strong and absorbent, and I can back that claim also. The main use of my kitchen towels is soaking up excess fat and oil if I’ve been cooking chips or sausages, for example. I find the kitchen towel does absorb the majority of this excess oil without any troubles. I also use it for mopping up drink spills, and again, it works well. Sometimes I have to use more than one sheet if the spill was particularly large, but that doesn’t bother me. When mopping up spills, I haven’t experienced any of the kitchen towels from ripping or breaking down.
At a little over £1, I think these rolls are fantastic value for money. The cute design attracts children, and the kitchen towels are strong and absorbent as the packing suggests.
