ASDA Smartprice Potato Salad

I'm a fan of the cheaper range of supermarket foods and Asda do a great potato sald for only 28p. It's a good sized 250g pot but has no frills. Some poeple may shy away from this range but I reckon its oustandign value for money.

The potatoes are chunky and cut fairly evenly and cooked to perfection. Not too soft and not too hard. Good sized pieces to get your mouth around. They are covered in a great tasting mayonnaise dressing with added chives which just gives it that bit of an edge.

It probably contains a lot of fat but it goes with so many things such as salads, barbeques, burgers etc. so its very versatile. I'd be loathe to pay about a quid more for some posher stuff as this tastes just great in my opninion.

The packaging is fairly basic - just a green and white plain tub - saying that its potato salad on the outside, but that's all you need really. Also, you can recycle the container and maybe use it as a plant pot when you've finished the food.
