This review is of the new asus EEE pc. Its been quite fun using and reviewing this one as its not like your usual laptops, and in many ways its a lot worse however at the end of testing it iv got to say I really like the asus EEE pc and however rubbish it might be I think I will end up buying one if some of the features just improve a little or if the higher spec editions become cheaper. I'm reviewing the new better version of the EEE pc this time as I reviewed the cheapest one last time and although it was quite good I though the amount of memory it had slowed it down and that there also ... more

Firstly, a lot of people may be asking the question "why should I choose a netbook instead of a laptop?" - so let's answer this question before going any further! If you are a business user (like myself) you will benefit from a netbook in a number of ways. The main benefits are how compact they are in comparison to laptops. They are basically the future for compact mobile computing, that are able to support all general administration and communication needs, which can fit onto the palm of your hand and slot comfortably into a handbag, or briefcase, with plenty of room to spare. The 1GB RAM and ... more

Advantages Advantages Very portable, very quiet, cool, easy to use interface, cracking little processor

Disadvantages Disadvantages Not for everyone because of a lack of space

During my recent search for a laptop i found this rather smart looking item and decided to check it out. The first thing that struck me was the tiny size. I began to wonder what they could have put inside with it being so small. I was pleasantly suprised to find the new Atom processor running at 1.6ghz. This may sound like a cut down version of other intel processors but it isn't quite that. In fact it is custom designed by Intel for the internet. This is great news for avid internet fans. Other tasks are also well handled by this new processor and in a wonderful stroke of design Intel have ... more

Advantages Advantages small , light, great wifi

Disadvantages Disadvantages poor memory, short battery life, no cd drive

The eee series is very beautiful if your looking for a easy to use small portable laptop this is the one, the only downside is the linux based system but I now have Xp up and running it cost me an extra 50.00 but is well worth it, this was originally made for kids to encourage homework studies but has not been adopted by the older generation. This laptop is strictly for internet and studying purposes do not buy if you want to play games or dvds this has no dvd drive or cd drive and has not got the memory to cope with memory eating software. It has built in wifi which i was very impressed with ... more
