Advantages: Good server board Disadvantages: Low amount of expandable memory slots
...Motherboards are expensive pieces of kit to buy nowadays compared to other components.
Particularly when you consider the plummeting prices of other products on the market such as CD Writers, monitors and RAM.
But when you are building a server to comply with the needs of a small office or gaming network at home, there really is only one choice.
I have built 4 servers now with this motherboard, the Asustek FCPGA Intel815eATX V S L.
The reasons for this I will explain.
Servers work best with plenty of RAM, plenty of processor power and loads of disk space. Whereas the Motherboard does not provide any of these directly, it does provide a `meeting place` for all of this raw power to come together.
For this, a motherboard needs to provide enough sockets and fittings to install all relevant components.
This board has the lot...

...their computers with other than Dell's hardware. I was a little bit sick for a while and again I went in the same shop to get suitable chassis and yes, even new power source (1050W). Luckily this time was everything fine and now, please, let me share my (good) experience with Asus P5Q PRO ATXiP45.
ASUS P5Q PRO ATXiP45 supports:

Advantages: good specs, good cpu speeds, plenty of upgrade options Disadvantages: price, onboard graphics
...I have just reviewed what in my opinion is the best available Socket A Duron/Athlon board in the ABIT KT7, so I thought it was only right for me to look at what in my opinion is one of the best S370 boards, for those wanting to go through the Intel route.
This is a very impressive board both in specification and in performance. It is based around Intels slightly maligned but recently renewed 815e Solano 2chipset. As you would expect for a new motherboard, this is in normal ATX format and supports all of the latest processors upto a certain extent which I will talk about in just a moment. It has a socket 370 format for your processor allowing you to choose any of Intel's PII/PIII/Celeron based on Coppermine technology although you should note that although this board is S370, I cannot comment whether it will be able to take the new...
