Advantages Advantages It has many good features

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Graphics card

At work I am sometimes given new items to use and take home and one of them recently was this laptop which was there to help me whilst my other Sony laptop was being repaired. This was over 10 weeks ago so I am now going to tell everyone how well it has done for me thus far. Design This laptop brand is not a huge name for me Asus are always in my eyes deemed as cheap and not that great in terms of what they offer but I have found them quite good for design. The laptop has the standard black look which I find more appealing then coloured laptops and straight away you're given a nice glossy ... more

Advantages Advantages Performance is very good

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Sensitive touchpad

I have has my Asus Laptop for two years Now. The Laptop Came with Vista Basic But have since upgraded to Windows 7 Ultimate. I would only recommend Windows 7 as it will give you the best performance out of this computer. A word of warning to potential buyers The touchpad that comes with Laptop is extremely sensitive. Do not rest your elbows near as it may move cursor. The screen is a 15 inch,. It came with 250 gig hard drive which is more than enough for me. It has 2 gig of DDR2 memory which really gives the laptop good performance. It comes with a web camera. A word of warning if you do go ... more

Advantages Advantages Cheap, good build quality, doesnt get hot

Disadvantages Disadvantages No bluetooth, chassis gets dirty, stickers come of really quickly

To begin with I would like to say that I own this ASUS for about half a year now and had absolutely no problems with it. Computer works great and thankfully still works. Moreover it works just great. I am a student so I use computer not only for games but for studies too. It runs all the programs i need just perfectly. The full size keyboard really does it's job it is really more comfortable to use full sized keyboard in laptop rather than the small one. The battery life is great too - it lasts for about three hours. Which is really good for a laptop with 15,6 inch screen. However there are ... more

    User doesn't recommend the product

    Advantages Advantages 2 year warranty

Disadvantages Disadvantages battery life is an average 2.5 hours NOT advertised 6 hours

Asus advertise a 6 hour battery life. Don't believe this. It is more like a normal 2.5 hour battery life fairly typical for this class of computer. The major selling points are a good processor/graphics cabability for this price and a 2 year international warranty. Connectivity is rather poor (No esata, hdmi, digital audio out), looks and build quality are average. If you want to install a new Op System (eg Win 7 or Linux) instead of the dreadful Vista they are supplied with, you will probably (unless you do an upgrade install) need to delete the hidden recovery disk first. Otherwise you are ... more
