Total of 87.2MB (85.2MB for Eastern language) user memory (55.2MB/53.2MB SDRAM and extra 32 MB Flash ROM) provide you the more storage capacity for your data and programs. You could back up the important data in the Flash ROM! ASUS employed the revolutionary SmartKeeper technology to resolve your fear of losing important data. The new user-oriented feature intelligently and automatically backs up existing system status when power level is low to prevent data loss. You can now relax, because your important files and documents are in good hands. ASUS' unique Smart Power Saving technology allows the MyPal A620BT to operate continuously up to 19 hours. Fun in the SUNSHINE Solar Powered Bluetooth GPS

Advantages: No more cables and extended battery power
Disadvantages: LEDs are a little bright for night use

Yes I know yet another gadget but hey that's my bag, and when I first found this item I knew it would be the answer to my recent problem. My previous receiver a Rickaline 6030 had given up the ghost, after many journeys of unblemished and accurate service. So off it was to the best shop in town, which never closes "yep" the World Wide Web. Now I had an inkling that I wanted a Bluetooth version GPS receiver, to dispense with the myriad of cables and wires snaking round my dashboard. Like most I was concerned about battery life and connectivity. After searching for several hours I had discovered several and was about to purchase Tom Tom's own branded GPS receiver. However always researching till the last before making the final purchase, I discovered a solar powered one. Well my cup certainly runeth over. Though my initial concern was ...

GPS ... Where am I and where have I been ?

Advantages: Datalogger, Sat Nav, so many plusses !
Disadvantages: Slightly difficult to set up

Royaltek Bluetooth GPS (Datalogger) For the uninitiated I'll quickly give a brief description of what purpose this item serves. There are several choices for running Satellite Navigation software, the main two are either buy a standalone product (such as Tom-Tom, Garmin etc) or buy a PDA (See my other review on Dell Axim) using a GPS satellite receiver (this is what the Royaltek Bluetooth GPS receiver is) If you have decided to choose the PDA route, you will need at least three things, the PDA, the GPS (Royaltek in this case) and software to run (I have chosen TomTom Navigtor 5 as it seems to be one of the market leaders. There are now two options for your GPS receiver, wired (which just means that the gps must be somehow connected directly to the PDA , this can either be via a wire or SD Card via the slot on the PDA OR via ...

Asus's Solution to Cheap Wireless Networking

Advantages: Cheap, Easy to set up
Disadvantages: Must have ASUS (Deluxe/Premium) motherboard with Wi-Fi@Home socket, PC must be on to use the wireless

was installed on that I needed a driver for it so I installed it from the CD provided. After the installation of the software, Windows asked me whether I want to produce the Windows XP wireless software or the one I just installed. I chose the Asus software and simply went through a wizard and chose the options that suited me. After these steps, the access point was working and I was able to access the Internet from my laptop wirelessly. There?s also the option to set up WEP security (a type of encryption) so that people outside my house wouldn?t be able to access my network. I set this up but unfortunately I was not able to access the Internet once I had turned this on so I had to turn it off completely so that I could use the thing. MANUAL The manual has many clear diagrams to illustrate the different types of uses. It ...
