ASUS AMD Athlon Motherboard

Advantages: HDTV output, supports AMDs Cool 'n' Quiet
Disadvantages: Only one lan

The ASUS M2NPV-VM Motherboard for AMD single-core Athlon 64/ Sempron and Dual-core Athlon 64 X2/ Athlon FX processors using socket AM2 is very user friendly, I went with AMDs 64 x2 3800+ processor in the beginning then moved up to 4200+ 2Gb Ram without any hassle, very easy to setup and fits easily in a standard ATX case. A possible downside to the board is that it has a limited number of slots due to being a micro ATX sized board. That's not a big deal for me as the only two cards I'll be buying in the future is Graphics and a extra Lan card. Board Layout `````````````````` >In the upper right hand corner of the motherboard are the ATX 24 pin power connector, Floppy disk connector, Game/Midi port connector and four DDR2 slots. These DDR2 slots support a maximum memory capacity of 8GB and the frequencies supported is DDR2-800MHz/667 ...

ASUS M4A78 PRO motherboard

Advantages: cheapest i could find with UK online retailer
Disadvantages: open box item

REVIEW FOR ASUS M4A78 PRO purchased from LUCMOS.CO.UK PROS: Built in video (VGA, HDMI, DVI), fiber optic out, RAID 0,1,5,10, JBOD; capable of locating and flashing bios under windows; 6 SATA slots, potential of 12 USB; 3 PCI slots handy to recycle various cards from old computer (ie old TV card) CONS: Bios only partially recognizes my Microsoft wireless photo keyboard set (mouse, not keyboard); Utilizing the optical out blocks one USB out (TOO CLOSE TOGETHER), No Firewire inputs on board (yet STILL with COM1 and floppy inputs?!) Other Thoughts: This was an open box item for 65 quid all in which Lucmpos indicates will not ship with the full complement of stuff, but I was expecting the I/O backing to at least cover up the back of my tower for this system of outputs...Alas, no. This baby shipped with just the board and non else ...

ASUS P5PE-VM

Advantages: Flexible
Disadvantages: -

Being a personal computer (PC) supplier, I try to find a 'better' product with better price for my consumers. As a fact, consumers would have a good product with reasonable price. ASUS is a well known manufacturer for mainboards. It always gets awards from several PC magazines and institutions. This image gives Asus a high goodwill? This is not my personal opinion, but it comes from my consumers. Awards? Some new PC consumers do not realize that awards are given to CERTAIN PRODUCTS of a manufacturer. As Asus products always gets awards, it does not mean all Asus products are the best. Seeing the fanatic consumers of Asus, and standing at the supplier side, I try to offer my consumers ASUS P5PE-VM mainboard as it offers the most competitive price and it comes with some nice features. SPECIFICATIONS Intel 865G ...
