I got this motherboard for my new pc and I have to say that it works like a dream - I?ve never really paid out more for a motherboard as I didn't see what difference it could make but since I?ve started learning more about pc's (with a view to possibly working in IT) I?ve realised that a decent motherboard is an important addition to a pc that runs well and without too many hitches.

The board comes with on-board Wi-Fi, which reduces the need to buy and install another expansion card. The board certainly isn't one of the cheapest available, but the little touches and the on-board Wi-Fi that Asus has included somewhat justify this price. If you plan to overclock a Core 2 Duo/Quad a lot, this board is perfect, but if you're content with stock speed or small overclocks, you can find motherboards that are more economical for you. The P5Kseries has many cheaper variants, lacking some of the high-end features of the Premium, such as the P5K-E, which is cheaper and will suit less demanding consumers, or those who don't need on-board Wi-Fi. Purchased this item quite recently and I have to say its a definite improvement over previous motherboardsI have owned, Especially the P5Q3 Deluxe. Currently Running the OCZ Platinum 1600mhz 2GB set with it, and an E8500 and runs like a dream. Although I had a few problems at the start getting it stable at the right memory frequency, it only took a couple of hours to get it running fine. I only played around with overclocking when I first bought it, but from what I remember it was very good. Space around the CPU socket was also a concern when I bought the motherboard, but once recieving it I found that It perfectly accomedated the Zalman 9700 .
I only have one bad thing to say about this board, and I am unsure if this is just to do with my setup, but I found load up times to be slightly slower than I have seen before. But ...
