Advantages: Great Sound, 8 GB RAM Support, 1333 FSB support Disadvantages: Does not support Windows server 2000 and Red Hat Linux
I am using DG33FB motherboard from last 1 year. This is a great board having several features of a high end board in such a cheap price of £96.47. The board supports 8 GB of RAM and both core2 duo and quard processor. I am running this board with Intel E6750 and 2 GB of RAM having 800 MHz FSB. It's working amazing. Just I want to make you aware that it does not support Windows server 2000 and Red Hat Linux. The main pros and cons are. I am a computer programmer and I am using it as a workstation board. As it does not support red hat Linux I installed Debian Linux which is working fine. If you are a VIsta user its works excellent for Windows Vista.

I brought this from ebuyer a few months back, for my new system build. I wanted a motherboard which had plenty of features/ports etc, without braking the bank, and this does just that. With 4 USB port, 7.1 surround sound audio card, 4 rear USB ports + 2 headers, Printer Port, and even 2 PCI-E 16X for SLi and 2 PCI-E and 2 PCI card slots, which is a good use of the slots available, with the PCI-E sure to be used more in the future, with it's smaller and faster slot.
So, after unpacking, I found there to be a lot of accessories with this board, keeping up to ASUS's standards. I applied the headers to the case and installed the motherboard easy enough, connected everything up etc. and it was up and running. After setting itself up, I was able to install the operating system. The board had no problem installing the Sata hard drive and disc ...

REVIEW FOR ASUS M4A78 PRO purchased from LUCMOS.CO.UK
PROS: Built in video (VGA, HDMI, DVI), fiber optic out, RAID 0,1,5,10, JBOD; capable of locating and flashing bios under windows; 6 SATA slots, potential of 12 USB; 3 PCI slots handy to recycle various cards from old computer (ie old TV card)
CONS: Bios only partially recognizes my Microsoft wireless photo keyboard set (mouse, not keyboard); Utilizing the optical out blocks one USB out (TOO CLOSE TOGETHER), No Firewire inputs on board (yet STILL with COM1 and floppy inputs?!)
Other Thoughts: This was an open box item for 65 quid all in which Lucmpos indicates will not ship with the full complement of stuff, but I was expecting the I/O backing to at least cover up the back of my tower for this system of outputs...Alas, no. This baby shipped with just the board and non else ...
