Advantages: Quality and fast overclocking, great for games Disadvantages: In the shadow of the Core 2 duo motherboards
...though it is not very good , support for AMD cool 'n' quiet a Bios backup and flashing utility and a support feature to update the motherboard. The motherboard also supports SLI compatible graphics in two PCI-e 16x slots.
My advice it that The ASUS M2N32-SLImotherboard is great for gaming or media editing if overclocked. If you do not wish to overclock then this motherboard is not for you. There are now better motherboards about which can meet these needs and much better. Another problem with this motherboard is that it only supports the AM2 chip. The Intel Core 2 duo is seen as much better.
If your on the budget and need to play todays and near future games and application's including Vista be prepared to overclock then consider the ASUS M2N32-SLImotherboard....

Advantages: Optical out, 2 LAN out Disadvantages: SLI only x 8 mode, for me thats no worry.
...I am really impressed with this board. Installation was easy & overclocking capabilities is outstanding and higly configurable . Comes with Vista drivers.
This board clocks easily up to 1225mhz, 1200mhz proved very stable. Asus Probe II that comes with the package is a great tool for protecting components from high tempratures. The motherboard minimum temp warning can be set from 70° upwards (hom much confidence Asus?), although I never had it above 50°
Asus Q-Fan2 allows for up to 4 chassis & CPU fan to run quiet, no more need for front bezel fan controllers. 3 different setting can be aplied to chassis fans & CPU independently.
Only con is PCI Express slots running in x 8 mode when used in SLI cofuguration, but you only have to worry about this when using big gun cards like the 8800GTX.
NOTE: Use DDR2-1200 to make way for a blast!!!...

Advantages: Phenomanal performance, quality, ease of install Disadvantages: Expensive
...When it comes to motherboards I generally stick to the top 3 manufacturers Abit ASUS or Gigabyte. So it was with this product.
I had used the DFI-LAn party board for a few months, and with the range of BIOS options it became a bit of a nightmare when overclocking (Escpecially if you are a bit of a novice). So I opted for this beast with its true 16xSLI capability, and passive cooling.
I've got it installed with a thermaltake Bigwater 745 water cooler on top of a 3800+ dual core chip, and dual Leadtek 7800GT's. With 2Gb of Hyper X memory, anything you throw at it is a breeze.
The BIOS is one of the AI life series, so if you are an overclocking novice, it has presets from 3 to 20%+, which will take care of all the voltages and FSB multipliers. However as with all these boards if you are beyond a novice you have plenty of manual options...

Superb mid-price motherboard and I'm very glad I opted to buy this. I became a bit of an E-pox fan a while back and went to a Sapphire pure advantage when they came out. The current state of play though suggests us first-person-shooter fanatics should... more
Hi, The model here, the ASUS M2N-E has proved itself over the last year. I built several systems using this motherboard and so far it has been well up to ASUS' usual standard and for me it is the natural successor to my previous one (A8N-E). My comments more
