Oh Mother! Asus P5Q PRO ATX iP45

Advantages: soo many, cannot describe them in just few words
Disadvantages: none apparent

and so I went to open it and so I went to install it and so on only to find out that my old motherboard wouldn't support it. Its BIOS was un-upgradeable (plus few more other reasons) and so I went out again to look for new motherboard. This time I had to have it instantly (yes the very same day) but you wouldn't believe me how very few shops in London sell motherboards. I managed to find one and only ( Asus P5Q PRO ATX iP45) and there I was on my way home with smile totally excited to set it up and get it running. Well again to my dissapointment I realised that this motherboard just won't fit in my old Dell chassis because Dell's speciality is probably custom made hardware or at least motherboards which are fitted in the chassis basically upside down + few extra weird things which are here (in my humble opinion) to prevent you from upgrading ...

Review of ASUS P5Q PRO - motherboard - ATX - iP45

is this the mother of all motherboards?

Advantages: fast, handle the future
Disadvantages: soome time installing windows

with the SATA driver, for some reason it would just wipe windows off upon installation. But after discovering this, i just left it uninstalled, and all is fine. Power: well with the programs Asus have included with this, you will need a meaty PSU, but the Asus 6 engine program enables you to use power saving options, and reall bring down the amount of juice your PC is using. Sound card: As you may know, asus throw in the creative Soundblaster Xfi sound card, unfortunately, this only works in the first PCi-e, which isnt much of a problem, but i know some other people have an issue with this. The program with the soundcard is brilliant, you can change almost anything, and with 7:1 capabiltiies, you can get a real 3D kind of sound. Brilliant! Temperatures: well, this does depend more on the case and what you are doing, however, the heat ...

Review of ASUS Maximus II Formula - motherboard - ATX - iP45

Try this motherboard

Advantages: it very fast and not overheat
Disadvantages: memory slot

ASUS motherboards are favorites of me and Doc Overclock. In fact, almost every motherboard in our personal systems has an ASUS motherboard installed on them. The P5Q Pro Turbo is a good motherboard, with performance, features and a great price. You can purchase this board online from Newegg for under $120, meaning that the board has the ASUS quality and features but for a mainstream price. Performance on the board was very good, with performance that matches or exceeds other Intel P45 motherboards. This board is perfect for a user wanting to build a good PC without breaking the bank and not needing all the latest greatest parts to be a satisfied end-user. The P45 chipset is the middle ground for Intel based chipsets and the P5Q Pro Turbo fits perfectly in that niche. ...
