Advantages: soo many, cannot describe them in just few words Disadvantages: none apparent
and so I went to open it and so I went to install it and so on only to find out that my old motherboard wouldn't support it. Its BIOS was un-upgradeable (plus few more other reasons) and so I went out again to look for new motherboard. This time I had to have it instantly (yes the very same day) but you wouldn't believe me how very few shops in London sell motherboards. I managed to find one and only ( AsusP5Q PRO ATXiP45) and there I was on my way home with smile totally excited to set it up and get it running. Well again to my dissapointment I realised that this motherboard just won't fit in my old Dell chassis because Dell's speciality is probably custom made hardware or at least motherboards which are fitted in the chassis basically upside down + few extra weird things which are here (in my humble opinion) to prevent you from upgrading ...
Advantages: it very fast and not overheat Disadvantages: memory slot
ASUSmotherboards are favorites of me and Doc Overclock. In fact, almost every motherboard in our personal systems has an ASUSmotherboard installed on them. The P5Q Pro Turbo is a good motherboard, with performance, features and a great price. You can purchase this board online from Newegg for under $120, meaning that the board has the ASUS quality and features but for a mainstream price. Performance on the board was very good, with performance that matches or exceeds other Intel P45motherboards. This board is perfect for a user wanting to build a good PC without breaking the bank and not needing all the latest greatest parts to be a satisfied end-user. The P45 chipset is the middle ground for Intel based chipsets and the P5Q Pro Turbo fits perfectly in that niche. ...
Advantages: fast, handle the future Disadvantages: soome time installing windows
of the future in with. not only that, it comes with the classic IDE port, for older devices. Unfortunately, this is made for high end gaming, so there is no monitor port on the back, so you have to get a graphics card.
Compatibilty:
To put it simple, you can put almost anything in, and it will cope.
Overclocking:
So much you can do, a lot can be changed in the bios, and there is even options in your OS to tweak settings. Buy this, and your sorted for the next 5 years. You can change anything from voltages to the latency your RAM works at, in an easy to use bios interface.
Setting up:
After a good hour read of the manual , which i would highly reccommend to you to do if you purchase one. Took me about 30 mins to put everything in, however, the only downside of this, is you may need some time to sort things out. I had a terrible problem ...
