ASUS P Series P3-P5G33 - no CPU

Advantages: good overcocker, upgradable , no fans, wifi, good accesories
Disadvantages: no sli/crossfire, expensive, only 1 IDE port

...This board is an excelent partner for a Core2Duo processor. Everything worked straight out of the box and it didnt even blink when i accidentally overclocked the cpu from 2.16 to 3.2Ghz. it has not crashed once on me yet even with my constant tinkering and just seems to get faster as asus are regularly releasing new bios updates(which are very easy to use). onboard wifi is fine, comes with a small aerial that gets a good signal from my router. also packaged is an excelent directional microphone thats great for voice communications apps. asus support is aledgedly excelent, altho i'v found their website to be a little slow here in the uk. asus also claim that this board will support the upcoming core2quadro, 4-core intel cpus.... Disadvantages: SLI only x 8 mode, for me thats no worry.

...I am really impressed with this board. Installation was easy & overclocking capabilities is outstanding and higly configurable . Comes with Vista drivers. This board clocks easily up to 1225mhz, 1200mhz proved very stable. Asus Probe II that comes with the package is a great tool for protecting components from high tempratures. The motherboard minimum temp warning can be set from 70° upwards (hom much confidence Asus?), although I never had it above 50° Asus Q-Fan2 allows for up to 4 chassis & CPU fan to run quiet, no more need for front bezel fan controllers. 3 different setting can be aplied to chassis fans & CPU independently. Only con is PCI Express slots running in x 8 mode when used in SLI cofuguration, but you only have to worry about this when using big gun cards like the 8800GTX. NOTE: Use DDR2-1200 to make way for a blast!!!... Read review

...Excellent motherboard. This is the first motherboard that I have installed in a computer before, and did ASUS make it easy for me! The manual is very clear, and tells you where everything is. All the connectors matched up with my Akasa Zen Case connectors, which I thought was great, as since then I didn't have the same experience with a Thermaltake case. The silent heatpipe, makes this a very quiet motherboard, whereas most normal motherboards would have a rubbish little fan that gets clogged with dust and ends up making a terrible noise. If you need to have a fan on the chipset heatsink, asus provide a fan that slots on to the top of the heatsink. Aswell as the chipset fan, ASUS provide loads of other stuff.
