...When looking for a motherboard for my brand new socket 939 processor I looked at the available options from my favourite supplier, ASUS.
I've used ASUS for a few computers now, from a cheapo A7V8X-X, to a top-of-the-line socket A board the A7V880 (socket A WITH dual channel) and I even have an ASUS cooler and an ASUS graphics card.
ASUS do no errors here neither, with the A8V Deluxe which has the stability ASUS are renowned for as well as every feature which is available. SATA, SATA Raid, IDE RAID, Firewire, Gigabit Ethernet, Dual Channel, AGP... what else could a computer builder want?
I bought this OEM so everything had to be downloaded from the net, which is easy and quick. The installation procedures are simple and there's no silly flash programs to 'help the baffled'. I love the ASUS probe software, which is small and very...

INSTALLATION :
HARDWARE
The A8V Deluxe is compatible with the ATX form factor which should fit any current ATX case. Installation from that side is somewhat standardized and the motherboard did not create any complications for me.
This motherboard requires ATX 20 pin and the 4 pin ATX 12V power connectors to work properly. Since I purchased a new "ULTRA PRODUCTS X-Connect 500W ATX" power supply, I was all set for this motherboard. This power supply has all the connections...

Extreme Performance For Gamers Review ofASUS Striker Extreme Republic of Gamers Series - motherboard - ATX - nForce 680i SLIby
safari004
Advantages: Array of Features, Overclocking and many more. Disadvantages: Price
....I feature you need to set the A.I Tuning feature to “Manual”. This then opens up access to the system clocks, FSB and memory config, overclocking and over voltage menus.
System Clocks menu is the first menu on this list. Here you can adjust the PCI Express frequencies for all PCI Express x16 slots as well as the reference clock for the SPP to MCP connection.
FSB and Memory config menu comes next. AsUS Striker Extreme supports overcloking of FSB and Memory independently of each other. To do this you need to set the FSB – Memory clock mode to “Unlinked”, this then allows you to change the FSB and memory clock at different rates to each other. You can change the FSB from 533 to 3000 MHz in 1 MHz increment. You can also change the memory from 400 to 2600 MHz in 1 MHz increment. You can also tweak the memory timings. You can change tRCD from 1-7...
