ASUS EEE PC 701 - Small but perfectly formed

Advantages: Size, Ease of Use
Disadvantages: Small keyboard, small screen

This review looks at one of many netbooks to be released in the UK over the past few months, ASUS's EEE PC 701 SD. The model I have is fitted with Windows XP and has an 8Gb hard drive. I bought it on special offer for £155. Appearance The 701SD is absolutely tiny. It weighs around a kilogram and is roughly the same size as a hardback reading book when in the closed position. It comes in a neat box along with instructions,a mains charger, a protective case and a system CD. It has a 7 inch screen which is absolutely tiny but is still perfectly functional. The unit has three USB sockets, headphone and microphone jacks, and SD memory card slot, a small webcam above the screen and a microphone positioned just underneath the keyboard. It has a small touchpad which is small but works in exactly yhte same way as a normal sized laptop ...

Value for Money - ASUS

Advantages: Easy to install
Disadvantages: Dust can be easily seen as it is black in colour

In my point of view Easy to re-install step by step instructions provided. You dont need a Laptop specialist to install anybody can do it. Laptop configuration is so good, Speed is excellent, Looks nice and light weight. Easy to carry. Overall worth and a good deal. Pixels quality is really good. I really loved the design of it. Mouse usage is so easy i was unable to use in my previous laptop I had a external mouse. Asus solved that problem hence i can use it anywhere at home. No need of plain surface to use mouse. All the softwares and the drivers come along with the laptop so it is very easy all availble at one place. I recommand this product to all the viwers who is thinking of buying one. Asus EEE 4g

Advantages: Small and Portable, Cheap
Disadvantages: Small HD, No CD drive

Well I just love this laptop. It is everything I want in a laptop. It does have a few minor flaws but the pros totally outweigh them. Appearance This laptop is a great looking laptop. Only the size of an A5 notepad, it is small and yet it still manages to look smart yet fun. I chose the baby blue cover for my asus eee but any colour looks just as good. Inside, the layout is neat and tidy with reasonable sized keys for this small laptop. The sides of the laptop look clean in simple as is to be expected with a small laptop like this. Without a CD drive, it allows more room for the 3 USB ports and SD slot allowing the back of the laptop to be left clear bar the power port. Overall, a great looking laptop. Function With such a small hard drive of only 4gb and a small amount of memory of 512mb, this laptop surprised ...
