Asus A7v333 review

Advantages:
Disadvantages:

I have an Asus A7V333 motherboard and as far as i can tell, i have had no issues with it at all. there are plenty of features, almost too many. it has a few problems, as it still uses old connections, like the AGP 4x slot, which makes it very difficult to upgrade the graphics card now. it also doesnt have sata. other than that, the motherboard is brilliant. it has 5 pci slots which were useful as i had a lot of cards. The other upgrade issue with this motherboard is that is is using an old socket type, Socket A, which makes it difficult to upgrade the processor and to find a better fan. i am also happy with the fact that it is an ATX board, so it has lots of space for upgrades, if you can find them. This motherboard is great value for money and is a budget-board. probably good as a starter motherboard. ...

The extra ordinary Asus Striker Extreme

Advantages: overclocking, very easy to install etc...
Disadvantages: only garantees QVL memory

the Asus Striker Extreme the best motherboard for gamers with the technology SLI, the best motherboard I ever had, its a bit pricy but is worth every penny that you spend on that motherboard. Excelent on overclocking, very good features, supports all intel processors from pentium 4 to core 2 quad, even my internet connection is faster now with this motherboard, the only problem that I have with it is the memory because it requires QVL memory and my one isn't. Very easy instalation mainly with the q-connector, its real good, I highly recommend people to buy this motherboard. a few number of features to help people know what this motherboard have. back panel: 2 x 10/100/1000 (LAN) 1 x 7.1 Audio I/O 2 x eSATA II 1 x Firewire (6pin) 1 x LCD Poster 1 x PS/2 Keyboard 1 x PS/2 Mouse 1 x SPDIF-Out 4 x USB 2.0/1.1 internal: 1 x ...

ASUS V 9999GT/TD

Advantages: 256Mb, AGP 8x, Svideo out, DVI out, Dsub out, blue light
Disadvantages: occasional graphics blip

positioned hard drive was blocking the power connector, but once that was moved it went in easy. I had less trouble installing on my own PC as I think my case might have been a bit bigger and my hard drive wasnt in the way. Driver installation was a doddle, inster the CD, run the installer, reboot and its done. Upgrading the drivers was a little more complicated as to get the asus enhanced stuff working you need to install their drivers after the nvidia ones, but still that was simple enough. As for performance the cards handled pretty much everythign I've thrown at it, I just need a better monitor to appreciate it propery. The card itself takes up 1 slot so if you havea lots of pci cards theres no problem there, the blue light on the fan adds a nice glow at the bottom of your case and gets brighter the faster the fan runs. There are 2 ...
