Having previously owned a DX4-100 I was finally able to play all the games such as quake 2 in modes other than "Dying Snail Mode". After installing a few i noticed that none of them seemed to have particularly good 3D graphics. After trwaling the web for hours searching for some kind of glide or opengl driver for the ... ...perhaps it wasnt a proper 3D card. It is things like this that get the non experienced computer users buying goods, a cheap enough card claiming it is 3D appears to be a good buy for a beginner, but a more experienced user will soon find that it is not all its cracked up to be.

Advantages: Great for retro gaming Disadvantages: Not very beefed up to play now a-days games.
I have had this card for over 13 years now. I knew that it was more aimed toward 2D not 3D. But this card had many games on its side including Mechworriors, WipEout, and assault Rigs just to name a few. This card was great back in the day, but i do not recommend it for now a-days buyers. I still use this card to play those older not graphically enhanced games. I love those old games like the original doom games. They might have looked crappy but ...
